What we repair

Bosch builds most of a kitchen. We work on all of it.

Nine appliance types, and one of the nine is not what people expect: wine storage on this brand is a drawer inside the refrigerator rather than a cabinet of its own. Start with whichever is misbehaving — half of these pages begin by explaining that the behavior people call a failure is the appliance working as designed.

  • An integrated dishwasher standing open in a white handleless kitchen, empty racks pulled out, a wall oven column beside it
    100 · 300 · 500 · 800 · Benchmark

    Dishwashers

The appliance this brand is known for, and the one we are called out to most. Bosch dishwashers dry with condensation rather than a heating element and protect themselves with a leak sensor in the base, so two of the commonest complaints about them are the design working as intended — and two more are not.

    • Water left standing in the tub
    • E15 and the leak protection tripping
    • Plastics coming out wet
    Dishwasher repair
  • A built-in refrigerator standing open in a warm modern kitchen, its glass shelves empty
    36" · 30" · 24" · counter-depth

    Refrigerators

French door, bottom freezer and counter-depth units, panel-ready and free-standing. Bosch refrigerators publish almost no error codes, so this is equipment you diagnose by what it is doing rather than by what it is displaying.

    • Not holding temperature
    • Ice maker slowing or stopping
    • Water and dispenser problems
    Refrigerator repair
  • A washing machine and a dryer side by side in a bright laundry room, a wooden ladder with towels beside them
    24" compact · stackable

    Washers

Bosch laundry in this market is almost always the 24-inch compact pair, stacked in a closet or tucked under a counter. That is a different machine from a full-size American washer and a different job to reach — and it is why so much of what we are called out to here is a drain, a filter or a load that will not balance.

    • Will not drain or will not spin
    • Stopping mid-cycle on a code
    • Walking, banging or refusing to balance
    Washer repair
  • The inside of a white clothes dryer drum, lint filter and vent grille visible at the door
    24" compact · ventless

    Dryers

The compact dryers are condensation machines — they take the water out of the air and put it down the drain rather than pushing it outside. Which is why they can live in a closet with no duct at all, and why "it takes forever to dry" is a different conversation on one of these than on a vented American dryer.

    • Taking two cycles to dry a load
    • Not heating at all
    • Lint filter and condenser maintenance
    Dryer repair
  • A built-in wall oven set into wood cabinetry in a modern kitchen, its control panel lit
    30" · 24" · single, double, speed & steam

    Wall ovens

Built-in wall ovens, single and double, plus the speed ovens and steam ovens that share the same cavity opening. These are trimmed into a cabinet run and wired to their own circuit, so an oven that has stopped is often an oven that has to come out before anyone can say why.

    • Not heating or not holding temperature
    • Door locked after a self-clean cycle
    • Touch panel unresponsive
    Oven repair
  • A white gas range in a bright kitchen, four burners on a wooden counter with the oven below
    Gas · dual-fuel · electric · induction

    Ranges

Slide-in and free-standing ranges in all four fuel configurations. A range is two appliances in one chassis — a cooktop and an oven that share a control board — and knowing which half is misbehaving is most of the diagnosis.

    • Burners that will not light or hold
    • Oven not reaching temperature
    • Display codes that cover both halves
    Range repair
  • A black glass cooktop set flush into a white kitchen counter with a built-in oven below it
    Induction · gas · electric · 24"–36"

    Cooktops & rangetops

Induction, gas and radiant electric cooktops, plus the professional rangetops. Most of what an induction top does when something is wrong is protect itself — it switches a zone off, shows a code and waits — and telling that apart from a failure saves a great many visits.

    • A zone switching itself off mid-cook
    • Controls locked or unresponsive
    • Codes about supply voltage
    Cooktop repair
  • A wall-mounted chimney range hood with a black glass fascia above a gas cooktop in a white kitchen
    Under-cabinet · wall · island · insert

    Range hoods

Under-cabinet, wall-mounted, island and insert hoods. A hood has a motor, a light, a set of filters and — on the connected models — a link to the cooktop below it, and there are only so many things on that list. Which makes it the one appliance here where the diagnosis is usually quick.

    • Fan not running or running at one speed
    • Lights out or flickering
    • Little suction despite a working fan
    Range hood repair
  • A wooden wine shelf pulled out of a chilled wine drawer, bottles lying on it, the temperature display lit above
Built into the refrigerator, not beside it

    Wine & beverage storage

On this brand, wine storage is a drawer inside the refrigerator rather than a cabinet of its own — a glass-fronted compartment with its own preset temperatures for reds, whites and cans. Which means a wine problem here is usually a refrigerator problem wearing a different label.

    • A drawer running warm while the rest is fine
    • Drawer lighting and the glass front
    • Runners, seals and a drawer that will not sit square
    Wine cooler repair

South Florida

The climate is part of the diagnosis.

  • Hard water. These dishwashers publish a code for scale in the heat pump. Acting on it is a service; ignoring it for a year is the most expensive part in the machine.
  • Year-round heat. Condensers run hard for more months here than almost anywhere, and cooktop electronics overheat under a ventilation gap somebody filled with a drawer.
  • Coastal salt air. Near the water it reaches burner caps, igniters and the damper on the far end of a hood duct — which fails silently.
  • Outages and surges. Storm season brings a run of electronics codes. Five minutes genuinely off at the breaker clears a fair share of them, and we say so before booking anything.
  • Condo laundry. A 24-inch pair stacked in a hallway closet is the normal case here, and getting a hand behind it is most of the appointment.

Error codes

Your code probably has two other names.

Unusually, Bosch publishes what each of its codes means. What it does not put on the display is that the same condition is labeled differently depending on how old your machine is — and on a model with no display, it is not a number at all.

One dishwasher condition, three labels

All three mean water is not leaving the machine, and all three have the same five causes: the filter, the drain pump cover, the hose, the air gap, and a disposal knockout plug that was never punched out. Four of those five you can clear yourself in ten minutes. That is what a code cannot tell you — it names a circuit, not a component.

Three generations, one condition

  • E15 Two-digit — older dishwashers. E15 is water in the base pan and the machine locking itself out
  • E3100 Four-digit — newer machines. Same condition, different label
  • Lights No display at all — the Active, Clean and Sanitized lights say it in patterns

Where the codes live, by appliance

Dishwashers 23 conditions — draining, leak protection, scale, drying and the door
Washers Codes written with a colon and a second group: E:30 / -10. The second group is the half that matters
Dryers Three of them, and one is simply a blocked lint filter
Cooktops Mostly protections — overheat, panel lock, time limit, and a voltage code about your building
Ovens Precise ones: the temperature sensor, the touch panel and the self-clean door lock each have their own
Refrigeration Three in the entire US line, which is why those pages start from symptoms instead

On the ranges, case matters: a lower-case e302 is the power board and an upper-case E302 is the control panel. They are two separate published conditions with two different answers.

72 conditions covering 157 published labels and signals, every one from the manufacturer's own support pages. Where a machine has no display, the pattern of flashing lights is the code — and we can read it.

No code and no lights — just an appliance behaving oddly? That is what the symptom pages are for. Three of them exist mainly to tell you that nothing is wrong.

How a visit goes

From your first call to the invoice, nothing is a surprise.

  1. 01

    Intake

Tell us what the appliance is doing, the model and how it is installed. Cannot find the model number? We will tell you exactly where Bosch puts it on your machine.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis

The code is read and the condition reproduced rather than assumed, and the free causes get checked in front of you first.

  3. 03

    Scope in writing

You see the work and the price before anything is opened, and you approve it first. No surprises later.

  4. 04

    Repair and verify

A full cycle run and watched before we leave, and our workmanship is covered by warranty.

What it costs

What these repairs usually cost in South Florida.

We price by the job, because a filter and a control board are not the same visit even when the complaint is identical. Every figure here is a starting point; anybody naming an exact number over the phone has not seen the machine.

Dishwasher drain repair

from $145

The most common call on this brand, and often finished without a part.

Washer drain and pump

from $155

The pump filter is behind a flap at the front and almost nobody knows it is there.

Oven element or sensor

from $165

An oven cool by the same amount every time is sometimes just calibration.

Dryer heating repair

from $185

Air path first — a filter sealed with softener film looks perfectly clean.

Control board

from $310

The most-guessed diagnosis in the trade, and the one we most want to rule out.

Sealed system repair

from $600

The one figure here that does not follow the brand. It is physics.

Diagnostic visit from $95, credited toward the repair when you go ahead. Every figure above is a starting point for this equipment in South Florida — the model, the access and the part move it. The exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic, never over the phone.

Questions

Straight answers

Are you authorized by Bosch?

No, and we will not claim otherwise. We are an independent repair company. Authorization is a commercial relationship with the manufacturer and mainly matters for in-warranty claims. Out of warranty, what matters is whether the technician knows the equipment, can source OEM parts, and stands behind the work.

My dishwasher is not drying the plastics. Do I need a repair?

Almost certainly not, and it is the most common call we take on this brand. These machines dry by condensation rather than with a heating element, which works well on glass and steel and poorly on plastic. If the glassware is dry, the machine is fine — and we would rather tell you that on the phone.

Do you use genuine Bosch parts?

OEM parts are ordered against your model number as standard. Where a good-quality equivalent exists and would save you money, we price both and tell you which is going in, so the choice stays yours.

How long does a repair take?

The diagnosis usually takes under an hour. Whether we finish the same day depends on the part: drains, filters, seals and igniters are usually same-visit, while a board ordered against a model number takes a few days.

The washer and dryer are stacked in a closet. Is that a problem?

It is the normal case here rather than the exception, and it mainly affects time — unstacking safely is part of the appointment. A photograph of the closet with the door open helps us plan it before we arrive.

What warranty do you give?

A warranty on our workmanship — the labor we performed. Parts carry their own manufacturer warranty. If your appliance is still in warranty, that claim goes through the manufacturer's own network rather than through us.
